Auntie Ngawai Jones

It is incredibly sad to advise that our kuia, Auntie Ngawai Jones has passed away. Everyone in the Richmond School whānau passes on our condolences to the Jones family. A number of staff and pupils attended her funeral this week with the children singing beautifully during the service.

Book Character Parade

The Book Character Parade on Friday was a great way to end Book Week with the entire school (including Mr Brenton!) parading along Queen Street and through the Tasman District Library.

Book Fair Success

Thank you to everyone who supported the Book Week Book Fair in Room 15 last week. Over $3000 worth of books were sold which means Richmond School receives $1100 worth of books for our library – fantastic!

Swimming Lessons Term 3 – Payment Dates

Swimming lessons will take place at the Aquatic Centre this term. Please return permission slips and make payment ($60 per child) as soon as you can. We accept payment by cash, cheque, internet banking or Eftpos at the school office.

Middle Syndicate Weeks 3 and 4 (payment to be made by Monday July 31st)

Senior Syndicate Weeks 5 and 6 (payment to be made by Monday August 14th)

Junior Syndicate Weeks 7 and 8 (payment to be made by Monday August 28th)

Get Snapped Reading Competition

Take a photo of yourself reading in an unusual place.

Print it our email it to your teacher to print for Mrs Lams.

Winners announced Fri am (August 4th) before the Book Character Parade.

A great selection of children’s books will be on display and available to purchase at the Book Fair in Room 15 each day throughout Book Week.

8.30am until 9.00am (except Monday)

2.30pm until 3.15pm
